Hoy quisiera platicarte acerca de un dato curioso de los supermercados en México. ¿Sabías que hay un día con ofertas en el departamento de frutas y verduras? Sí, por lo general es el día martes y se le conoce como Martes de frutas y verduras. Algunas tiendas lo extienden hasta el miércoles.
Soriana lo llama Martes y Miércoles del Campo, además de las frutas y verduras también incluye precios especiales en carnes, pescados y mariscos.
En WalMart lo llaman Martes de Frescura. En Chedraui los llama Martimiércoles.
Algunos supermercados incluso te igualan los precios si encuentras el mismo producto más económico en otro lugar.

Today I’d like to tell you about an interesting fact about supermarkets in Mexico. Did you know there’s a special day with discounts in the fruits and vegetables department? Yes, it’s usually on Tuesdays and it’s known as “Fruits and Vegetables Tuesday.” Some stores even extend it to Wednesday.
Soriana calls it “Tuesday and Wednesday of the Countryside,” and besides fruits and vegetables, it also includes special prices on meats, fish, and seafood.
At WalMart, it’s called “Freshness Tuesday.” At Chedraui, they call it “Martimiércoles” (a play on Tuesday and Wednesday).
Some supermarkets will even match prices if you find the same product cheaper elsewhere.
