Espero que hayas tenido una buena semana. Ya estamos en verano y el calor se siente… ¿Cómo está el clima en donde vives?

Hoy quiero compartir contigo una serie que está teniendo mucho éxito en México: Mentiras, la serie. El encanto de este programa radica en varios aspectos. Por un lado, tenemos al elenco que es maravilloso. Todos destacan y logran papeles inolvidables.

Por otro lado, está la nostalgia de la música, vestuario y rutinas de la década de los ochenta. Es como un viaje en el tiempo a una época sin celulares, sin internet, pero con hombreras, maquillaje cargado y mucho aerosol para el cabello.

La serie es un musical y todos los personajes interpretan canciones icónicas con un aire renovado sin perder la esencia que las hizo famosas.

Si te gusta la música y quieres recordar esta época o adentrarte en ella desde una mirada fresca, te recomiendo esta serie. Vas a reír, vas a llorar, pero sobre todo te vas a divertir.

I hope you’ve had a great week. It’s already summer and heat is rising… How’s the weather where you live?

Today I’d like to tell you about a series that’s been a big hit in Mexico: Mentiras, la serie (Lies, the Series). The charm of this program lies in many asptects. First of all, the cast is wonderful cast. Everyone stands out and delivers memorable performances.

There’s also a strong sense of nostalgia everywhere: from music and outfits to the way people used to live in the 80’s. It feels like time travel to an era without cell phones and the internet, but with big shoulder pads, heavy makeup and tons of hairspray.

This is a musical series, and everyone sings iconic songs with a fresh twist, without losing what made them famous in the first place.

If you like music and you want to revisit this decade (or dive into it for the first time) I truly recommend you this show. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll have a blast.
